Barcode standards

The barcode encoders (Code 128, Code 39, EAN/UPC, ITF, Codabar, GS1-128, Data Matrix ECC 200) and the check-digit calculators are our own code, written from the published symbology rules: GS1 General Specifications (check digits, Application Identifiers, symbol sizes), ISO/IEC 15417 (Code 128), ISO/IEC 16022 (Data Matrix), ISO 6346 (container numbers) and the ISBN Users’ Manual. No third-party barcode library is used. The barcodes were test-read with an independent open-source decoder.
